IPL, or Intense Pulse Light, is a laser modality that utilizes many different wavelengths of light to target and treat photo-damage, pigmentation, sun damage, small veins, and overall skin redness. The treatments take 15-30 minutes.

Who is a good candidate?
Men and women with hyperpigmentation, blotchy or sun damaged skin, rosacea, acne, or redness.

When/ how often should I receive treatments?
A series of 3-6 treatments is recommended for optimal results.
Treatments can be done 2-4 weeks apart depending on the condition of your skin and proper at home skin care.

How do I prepare for my treatment?
Avoid sun exposure for a minimum of 2 weeks prior to your appointment- if you have recent sun exposure you cannot be treated.

Inform us of any photosensitizing medications prior to treatment- oral or topical. Discontinue retinol and other exfoliants approx 5 days pre treatment. Skin conditioning may be recommended 4-6 weeks prior to your treatment.

How should I expect to feel after my treatment?
Immediately post treatment, your skin will likely feel very warm. Mild redness and swelling may occur and last 30 min – 24 hours. Pigmentation will get darker over the next week and flake off.
